REBUILD Detroit - Faculty Mentors and Scholars Wanted

What is REBUILD Detroit? 

ReBUILD Detroit is a partnership between four Detroit institutions supported by a grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as part of its national BUILD (Building Infrastructure Leading to Diversity) program. REBUILD Detroit focuses on teaching, research and biomedical innovation that result in superior academic performance, higher graduation rates, and decreased time to earn a degree.

 

Mentorship Opportunity! 

Wayne State University is REBUILD Detroit’s research partner and we are seeking faculty mentors for our BUILD Scholars.

Who are the BUILD Scholars? 

Undergraduate students currently majoring in science, technology, engineering or mathematics at Marygrove College, University of Detroit Mercy, Wayne County Community College District or Wayne State University. 

These scholars have a strong desire to learn about conducting formal research and engaging in real-world research projects and will have completed training courses on Responsible Conduct of Research and Introductory Research Methods prior to laboratory placement.
